Judd pictured to the left. Their tails docked, dew claws removed. Their first shots 6wks. They will be wormed weekly from 3 weeks.
Vet checked. They will come with their AKC registration papers, our health warranty, his health record, along with a packet of information about them and their puppy needs. All our puppies are socialized around young children and a variety of animals. They will each come with a baggie of their puppy chow Fromm or Purina pro plan. We also send each puppy with their own little blankie, this is so they have scents from family and their home to take with them in hopes that it eases their transition into their new home, reduced whining when alone, and keeps them relaxed.
They are ready to go to their new homes by 8 weeks old. This is because usually by then their other siblings have left and every day their growth increases physically and their energy level so it requires more effort from us to keeo them well socialized and played with attempting to wear them out!
Welcome to RiverRun!
Although having one puppy left after the others for extra weeks gets us EXTRA attached, and makes it harder for us to see them go. The other reason is between weeks they should be going to the vet for their 2nd set of shots, so we would like for you to be able to take them to your vet for that.
We can arrange for them to get their second set while they are with us if needed email me with questions for your scenario.View More Pictures. First off, there is a large difference between a show bred dog and a pet bred dog. However, for a show bred dog, their breeders work tirelessly to ensure that all the puppies meet and hopefully exceed the set standard for the breed.
If a puppy has champion bloodlines, it means that their linage has dogs that have won because they are the most well bred, set standard of the breed at that show. It all means that the work that breeder has put in is to ensure that their puppies and dogs are meeting and exceeding the standard for the breed as per the kennel club their dogs are registered in. A reputable breeder is the key. If you are planning to show your dog, you probably want to work with a good breeder to find a dog who will earn Championships.

An Airedale enjoys being near his family and loves activity.Pictured above is Louie, my first Airedale. He was about 24" at the shoulder, 65lbs, with muscles as hard as a rock.
He was a very good watch dog, but I'm not sure if he would have made a guard dog. He coat was not as hard as I like now, but he was squarely built, well proportioned, and fearless. If I didn't learn anything else from him, it was that I would take a well built smaller dog, over a poorly built larger dog, anyday. There is a problem however. I like big dogs.
Because I have been researching and breeding Airedales for over 45 years. I wanted a dog that looked good, standing or moving, one that would catch the eye, by his beauty, size, coat and conformation, and natural fearless terrier temperment with enhanced guard instincts.

Louie, March Luda, breeding female, at 20 months Timba and Anna The Airedale Terrier is a neat, upstanding, long-legged terrier, not exaggerated in any way.
This breed has strong round bone and combines strength and agility. The Airedale has strong jaws and a free gait. The coat is hard, dense, and wiry; it lies straight and close, with some hair crinkling or waving. Known as the King of Terriers, the Airedale is the tallest terrier.
Like many terriers, this breed counts the old English, or Black and Tan, Terrier as one of its primary progenitors. These medium-sized dogs were prized by Yorkshire hunters and poachers for hunting a variety of game from water rat to fox. The dogs could also find and retrieve birds. Around the mid s, some of these terriers around the River Aire in South Yorkshire were crossed with Otterhounds in order to improve their hunting ability around water, as well as their scenting ability.
The result was a dog adept at otter hunting, originally called the Bingley or Waterside Terrier but recognized as the Airedale Terrier in Crosses to the Irish and Bull Terriers were made in order to reduce some of the remnants of the Otterhound cross that were now considered less than beautiful.
Bythe patriarch of the breed, Champion Master Briar, was gaining renown, and his offspring carried on his influence in America. Among the most versatile of terriers, the Airedale is bold, playful, and adventurous and is a lively yet protective companion.
This breed is intelligent, but often stubborn and headstrong. Airedales make good family pets as long as they get daily mental and physical exercise. They like to be the head dog and may not do well when another dog challenges that position, although usually get along well with smaller dogs. This is an active breed that needs a chance to get vigorous exercise every day.
The wire coat needs combing twice weekly, plus professional grooming every one to two months to layer the texture and color. Families choose to adopt medium dog breeds for many reasons. I love my Portuguese, she is my service dog and I did all the training.
I live only with her. She is only trained to work outside our home. Since I work at home I think I would be a good match for Jazzy.
She is seven but has some traits of a younger dog.
I would not be a good match for a dog needing extra vet care because vets here charge much more than the southeast and I am on a fixed income. I take care of a mixed lab 4 evenings a week and they play together for part of the time.
I now have it baracated. I know that was par for the course. The rest we can save for the application and interview.
